A confession and planning for the weekend

First things first, I must confess that I have bought a new pair of shoes.  Yes, new ones.  I spent a very very happy lunch hour-and-a-half with a dear friend "mooching" around the Dunedin shoe shops.  We ended up at the No1 Shoes.  I bought the Twiggy Patent in navy (black version above) for the princely sum of $31.99

Inspired by the mod - ish shoes worn by Vix in her recent post these little beauties immediately caught my eye.

I am visiting family in Ashburton this weekend - along the way I hope to visit Riverstone Kitchen and the Oamaru Textile Emporium in Oamaru which I have blogged about previously.  I also hope to call in to the second hand shops in Waikouaiti and Palmerston as I have not called in for some time (read years) as its only an hour from home and it feels like it is too soon to get out of the car and stretch ones legs.  This time, I think I will demand that on the outgoing trip we stop there and lunch at Riverstone, and on the return journey call in at the Historic precinct of Oamaru for lunch.

What have you got planned for the weekend???

  1. Love your shoes! I'm popping into the next No1SW next time I pass to see if they have them!
It was a while ago now, but St Vincent de Paul in Timaru had a few bargains for me last time I visited - hopefully you have time to stop off there too!

  2. I love those "Twiggy " shoes, they'd look perfect with some bright opaques and a cute shift dress.
Have a great (and successful) trip and please share any op shop finds! x
