I am starting to get anxious / excited about the "family holiday" to Melbourne in a couple of weeks. I have been planning for the last few months and researching via the internet. A number of fashion / vintage blogs I follow are written by Melbourne writers so I have got a "to do list". However, the main reason we are going is not so I can go shopping, but so we can experience Tutankhamun at the Melbourne Museum.
Also on at the same time is an exhibition of John Rodriquez textile art which looks really cool.
And there will be lots of fabulous animal, dinosaur and nature type exhibits to look at as well. I see the museum has a restaurant and I have already checked the menu and the food looks nice and tasty and reasonabley priced.
I am not going to lie to you, I will be shopping. One of the things I really want to look at are Melissa Shoes. Today I had a look on the Melissa website and look at these lovelies!
One of the Melbourne blogs I love is I Op Therefore I Am.
I hope that I can get to Retrostar Clothing it is within a few blocks of where we are staying. Dear H wants to go to the MCG, train station and on Puffing Billy. Dear Darling D wants to spend lots of time at the museum and as she is only 9 this will be her first trip to a really really big city. Oh and she wants to go to the museum and Luna Park.
Oh you are so lucky! :) Melbourne is awesome. I miss it so much! Def go to St kilda and eat cake! :) The little cake shops there are so cool :)

This is an excellent plan for a holiday! You´re very lucky, so please bring plenty of pics for those of us not so lucky, we can enjoy the pictures.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, I've always wanted to visit Melbourne, it looks fab. Buy lots of VW shoes and take loads of pictures so we can pretend we were there, too. x
ReplyDeleteIf you want to do the great outdoors or the city sights, you can do both from sydney or melbourne, if i were a tourist i would probably pick sydney over melbourne. immigration canada serves as the foundation for continued economic growth and which brings people, If you chose Sydney then you could also go out to the blue mountains / hunter valley or to the great beaches, Thats my openion.
